Eco Committee

The Eco-committee is currently made up of 16 children from children in years 2 to 6.  Children apply to be on the Eco-committee and are selected by staff considering the applications made.  Mrs Sharples coordinates the Eco-committee and the children meet weekly to discuss ways to make our school more economical friendly.  We achieved the bronze award and we are now working towards gaining the silver award.  We are currently focusing on recycling and we are carrying out a number of activities to promote the reduce, reuse, recycle scheme.  We recycle paper, cardboard and plastic in school, we collect tin foil for guide dogs for the blind and we arrange textile recycling on a termly basis.

Look at our weekly newsletter for textile recycling dates.
