Despite the terrible weather, Diamond have managed to have lots of fun learning ourtdoors this week. We certainly enjoyed our first fire in the forest and toasted the marshmallows like mini experts πŸ™‚

The children in Year 4 have been continuing their work on betrayal and trust through the Easter story, and we have had some fabulous deep and thoughtful discussions. They have worked on converting fractions to decimals in Maths, researched the life and work of David Attenborough and designed their own islands using their knowledge of graphical features and coordinates.

A reminder for tomorrow...
Please note it is NOT a non-uniform day in school tomorrow. Our non-uniform day will be next Friday in exchange for Easter eggs for the Easter Egg Bingo.

Miss Heap has had a great time meeting with all the parents today. It was an absolute pleasure showing all the work they have done. They have made their teacher very proud.

Year five have written some superb pieces of writing linked to the lion the witch and the wardrobe and in maths we have been solving problems.

FAMILY WORSHIP 15th March 2019
Our family worship this week will have a mental health focus - in particular 'growth mindset'. Guest speaker Ross McWilliam will be coming in to talk to the children and to parents. Ross has been involved in education for over 30 years. He has worked in over 1,000 schools and has worked with 500,000 children and adults. He has published the CUPPA Mindset System which develops mindset of children ages 8-12, and has just completed his second book.

The first 20 minutes of worship will be aimed at the children, but then Ross would like to talk to parents and adults a bit more about what he does, and the important steps towards emotional confidence:
He will be sharing about some workshops he will be holding in school.

Worship will start at 2.30pm, the parent session will start at 2.55pm.

Parents are also welcome to stay for our cake sale after worship. This will be run by the school council to raise funds for Red Nose day.
