🌟 PTA Treasure hunt 🌟

A lovely community event tonight saw over 100 children and parents braving the weather to explore our local area looking for clues. Everyone returned to school for hot chocolate, mulled wine and cookies. A great evening enjoyed by all.

Massive thank you to Ben Layton for organising the evening and creating the treasure hunt. Also thanks to all our PTA and parent helpers - we can’t do these things without you.
We are grateful to local businesses Taylor’s treats for supplying delicious brownies and The Co op for donating milk.
Congratulations to ‘Fiery Fawcetts’ who were our overall winners, with Sammy and Olive/Stanley winning the gingerbread competition.

✝️ Prayer Square official opening ✝️

We were privileged to welcome Bishop Jill Duff, Bishop of Lancaster, to open our prayer square this morning.

This is a space that allows children of all faiths, or none, to spend some quiet time in school thinking about themselves, others, the world around them and spirituality, based on our vision of 'One Family, Belonging, believing and learning together.’

Huge thanks to Julie Pearson and the PTA at Caton St Paul's for their generous donations to complete the space.

Thank you to Miss Heap, Mr Gittins and the ethos committee for the vision to ensure all children can interactively use this space.

Thank you to Mrs Shone (Chair of Governors), Reverend Helen (St Paul’s Caton with Littledale Pastor Alan (Caton Baptist Church) and Josh Fox (Brookhouse Community Church) for joining us on the day.

🦌 St John's Hospice Reindeer Rush 🦌

We were visited by St John’s Hospice to talk to our children about the work they do and how they provide amazing care to our local community.
On Friday 13 December, all our children (and lots of parents) will be taking part in the reindeer rush, aiming to run at least 1 mile around our cinder track.

🎄PTA Christmas raffle🎅

⛸️ Ice skating ⛸️

A lovely treat for our Y6 children today - thank you to Lancaster On Ice for a great morning of ice skating.

Our children showed great perseverance and stamina to improve their ice skating skills, skating forwards and backwards, turning, stopping and performing ‘lemons’. Well done to all of you!
