Religious Education

“The structure of the curriculum, good quality resources, regular training and support from leaders enable the effective teaching of RE. As a result, pupils enjoy learning and are able to talk about it enthusiastically with knowledge and understanding.”

SIAMS 2023

At Caton St Paul’s our  Religious Education lessons follow the Questful RE Blackburn Diocesan scheme of work.  Click the link below to see our 2 year rolling programme for each key stage.

RE lessons

RE is led by our RE subject lead, Miss Naomi Heap, who regularly attends Blackburn Diocese RE lead cluster meetings. Miss Heap has ensured that Questful RE is taught well in our school, with evidence collected from scrap books, RE books, observations and children’s comments.

NISCU

We were pleased to welcome Debbie and Abi from NISCU to lead an RE lesson for our Y1 children in Ruby class.

Our ethos group are involved in delivering RE to our youngest children in reception.
