Our Year 6 children had a great time at the Lune Valley transition event yesterday and met other children who may be attending the same high schools. It was a beautiful day for outdoor activities.

We’ve had a brilliant addition to our Key Stage 2 corridor this week with a new reading area! Mrs Oughton and some of our children created this calm space for children to use whenever they need it. We are incredibly grateful for the time Mrs Oughton has given to our school this year and the positive impact she has had on our young readers.

This afternoon we took time to remember the incredible care, commitment and service Helen Larkin gave to Caton St Paul’s. Mrs Larkin was a much loved member of staff for many years and the children shared a wide range of happy memories of their time together in our whole school worship. The magnolia tree planted in our school field will be a constant reminder of a truly wonderful person who touch the lives of all she met.

On Monday, we had our incredible end of year performance from our multitalented Y5 & Y6 children. There was amazing singing, acting and dancing as well as a lot of laughs throughout. We are very proud of the children who performed brilliantly, even those who had some pre-performance nerves!

Our Year 6 children took a trip to Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago. They loved the city and it’s architecture as well as all of the exciting places that they visited.
