✝️ Easter service ✝️

A lovely end to term with our Easter service this afternoon at St Paul’s Caton with Littledale. The Church was full of children and family members, with a vibrant atmosphere to take us into the Easter period.

Led by our Y6 readers, each class told part of the Easter story by a range of different performances: singing, dancing, acting, films and playing a game involving betrayal for chocolate! We also enjoyed Reverend Helen boiling eggs in her microwave!
We were also treated to a typically brilliant performance from our choir.

Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to make this happen, well done to the children and thank you to our families for their continued support

🥣 Sapphire soup kitchen 🥣

Well, this was a lovely event. Parents and grandparents from Sapphire class were invited to school today to sample soup and crumble made by the children as part of their DT learning. The children made invites, showed people to their seats, took orders, served food, provided tea and coffee, as well as clearing up afterwards,
Parents commented on how lovely the food was and how much they enjoyed sharing this with their children. On top of this, they generously donated another £394 to our minibus fundraiser - wow!

Well done to Mr Baird for such a lovely idea, Mrs Longhorn and Mrs Elliot for their tireless work in the kitchen, Mrs France for helping with setup and our children for being their wonderful selves!

🤸🏾 KS2 gymnastics competition 🤸🏾

Well done to our Y5/6 gymnasts who today finished 2nd at the Lancaster & Heysham school sport event and pick up silver medals 🥈 .The girls had choreographed their own routine, following the strict guidance and order defined in the rules.
They have worked hard every Wednesday to learn their routines, working as a team and recovering quickly after the excitement of the dance finals last night.
Special well done to Ava W and Sophie P who won bronze 🥉 medals in the girls pairs. Thank you to our parents for transport and Mrs Pollitt for running gym club.
