👑 Special visitor 👑

We were thrilled to welcome Helen Bingley, The High Sheriff of Lancashire, to speak to the children about her role. Helen was appointed by King Charles and has many important responsibilities around our County. Helen also has her own coat of arms in the Shire Hall at Lancaster Castle.

Helen brought her whole outfit in and allowed the children to help her dress up in her formal garments. She also told us a little about her wonderful charity work in Pakistan, and also about how her upbringing shaped the person she is today and how important it is for all of us to know that anything is possible.

Thank you, Helen - this was inspiring!

✝️ Alan Wadsworth worship ✝️

We welcomed Alan Wadsworth from Caton Baptist Church to lead worship on Friday. As usual, this was an exciting, enthralling worship of high focused on putting on the qualities we need and taking off the ones that aren’t good for us or others. Thank you to Pastor Alan once again.

🎽 Y3/4 athletics 🎽

We were really pleased to be able to take every Y4 child who has attended athletics club this year to a practice event at Lancaster and Morecambe College, as reward for their efforts at club. All the children, ran, threw and jumped brilliantly, taking part in a range of events including: javelin, obstacle relay, over/under relay, long jump, chest push, speed bounce and running relay.

We look forward to selecting a team to take part in the scoring events at the College, starting next Thursday 6 February. Well done to all involved, thank you to Barry and his team for organising, thank you to Mrs Hall who helped supervise (and dashed back to the minibus to switch the lights off) and thank you to the parents for their support.

🚐Minibus fundraising 🚐

Our children and families have embraced our 25 for 2025 challenge.
Children have been taking part in a range of activities:

Reading 25 books in January
Cycling 25 miles
Keeping bedrooms tidy for 25 days
Practising skills for 25 minutes a day
25 hours sponsored silence
Walking to school 25 times

And loads more!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Look out for more exciting fundraising opportunities before the summer.

We are still trying to source an appropriate minibus; please contact Mr Gittins if you can help with this!

Sport with a difference - our Y4 girls enjoyed their Disney themed multi skills morning at Lancaster and Morecambe College. They took part in a range of activities led by the College students.
The girls got stuck into everything and reported that they had a lovely time!
Thank you to Lancaster & Heysham school sport for organising this event.
