That was close!
A great effort from our KS2 athletes saw us finish second in the latest indoor athletics tournament at Lancaster and Morecambe College. We had some children making their debut and everyone acquitted themselves brilliantly, competing with confidence and commitment.
We have one more event left and a good result should see us finish in the top 4 for the second year in a row.
Our school record have been updated - can you run faster, throw further or jump further?

Thank you as usual to Barry and his team for another well run event!

Robin Hood has nothing on us. Our children thoroughly enjoyed their archery experience this morning, with plenty of bullseyes to be seen. Great bow work by all the children.

✝️Today's Thursday thought comes from Mr Gittins, our Headteacher.

"One of my favourite Bible verses is our own; Romans 12:5 - 'So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.'

It is the Bible verse that our vision is rooted in: "One family, belonging, believing and learning together," and sums up how our children, staff, parents and local community all work together for our school.

We are very grateful to everyone who is part of our school family." 🏫

A working lunch! Today we welcomed back Daphne from St Paul’s Church to lead our Jesus and Me club. She taught us about the importance of the fish as a Christian symbol and how Jesus asked his disciples to ‘Fish for men.’

Emerald class have had a great time this afternoon with Fiona from the Lune Rivers Trust. They learnt about many different types of tree and why they are so important to the river. They’ll also be able to tell you why the trees have been cut down on the cycle path.
Types of tree we identified: oak, yew, beech, lime, cherry, elder, hawthorn, silver birch, dog rose, ash.
